Pack-it is a highly versatile, simple, Internet connectivity system, designed to remove the complexities of connecting non-Internet ready devices to the Internet. Pack-it brings low cost Internet capabilities to any real world input or output such as switches, sensors, relays and micro-controlled appliances. This is accomplished by providing external connectivity through an RS-232 communication channel or 8 input and 8 output I/O bits. Devices connected to the Internet through Pack-it require little or no software modifications. The only requirement is an always on Internet connection over Ethernet or 802.11x using an external Wi-fi to Ethernet bridge such as those made by Linksys.
